Friday, 21st March, 2014 there was a blogger’s conference held at the amazing Courtyard Marriott hotel organized by INDIBLOGGER team. The main agenda of the conference was a screening of a short movie called” Sunsilk Real FM”written by one of the finest Producer/Director Mr. Anurag Basu. MTV India and Hindustan Unilever Ltd feature MTV Films, which includes six movies based on brand philosophies of different HUL product brands that will be showcased every month. The first film is inspired by Sunsilk called Real FM that will be telecast tonight at 7 pm on MTV.
The movie manifests a strong female Protagonist named Rhea. Basically the story revolves around Rhea, who was succored by her two closest friends in running a radio station. Rhea’s Dad who runs the radio station was facing a financial problem due to the lack of audience. During this financial crisis, his employees didn’t support him and demanded for a hike in their salary. Due to the immense pressure, her Dad suffered a heart attack. Later, seeing the emergency, Rhea thought of taking the responsibility of running the radio station with the help of her two friends. But to her surprise she not only succeeded in saving her dad’s business, but also brought a change in programming, wherein she thought of arranging a live music content with patriotic songs (Independence day special) sung by different singers (including common men too getting a chance to sing the song) in different languages.
According to me, the movie was very beautiful . It displayed that today’s women can do anything. If she decides to do it, no one can stop her from doing it. Initially though they faced a few difficulties, but later on all the three girls did well. The songs played were amazing and the last song was icing on the cake 😉 . The actors of the film are amateurs, but they were brilliant. Rhea with her charming personality, her friend Saloni, a very simple, disciplined girl who stood by her friend’s side when her friend needed her the most and her third friend, a confident girl, with witty looks, but without her help and contacts things wouldn’t have been possible. The other actors also did a great job.
All in all, this short film of one hour forty minutes projects a sweet message of “Go for It attitude” filled with a mixed bag of humour, which will make you laugh and emotions, which will bring tears to your eyes .
